Apple

Apple unveiled its Vision Pro glasses, and they’re looking to change the game for visual media.

Combined with the latest iPhone, you can now capture and view “spatial videos” that give a 3D-like experience when watched on the glasses.

For photographers, the iPhone 15 Pro is turning into a mini movie theater with a viewer that can display images like never before, all the way up to 8K resolution.

It’s offering a new level of immersion, and it’s got everyone wondering what this means for photography. Will we start to see a reimagining of classic formats like portraits and landscapes?

With the “gigantic screen” comes an opportunity to appreciate the entirety of an image, not just a zoomed-in version on a mobile device. So maybe it’s time to start thinking about our snapshots in a bigger frame – quite literally.

Are Apple's new glasses and phones about to redefine photography?

EU launches a formal probe into X (formerly Twitter) over alleged breaches of its Digital Services Act (DSA), with a focus on illegal content and transparency.

It could mean fines of up to 6% of X’s global income or even an EU-wide ban.

Close to Musk’s home in California, X pledged to remove hate speech and deliver on DSA compliance. Yet, it’s still facing scrutiny for its response to content tied to the recent Israel-Gaza conflict.

This is the first time the EU has taken formal action against a major platform under the new law, but it’s spent years pushing for greater accountability among Big Tech.

Miami Art Week gets an AR boost: The sunny city's annual art extravaganza is getting a digital twist this year with augmented reality (AR) experiences.

AR platform Art House is bringing murals at the famous Wynwood Walls to life, while hotel Eden Roc Miami Beach is showcasing AR-enabled canvases promoting environmental awareness. It’s a colorful collision of the real and the virtual, making this year’s Miami Art Week an AR playground.

Why it matters: It's a peek into how AR can transform the way we interact with art in real-world settings.

The bigger picture: AR’s art renaissance. Augmented reality is redefining art experiences beyond the museum walls. From AR filters turning selfies into renaissance portraits to AR-enabled sculptures that change as you walk around them, the digital layer is powering up the art world.

Miami's AR splash hints at a future where every brushstroke holds a digital surprise, and each masterpiece tells a multi-dimensional tale. ARt you ready?
