AI is infiltrating creative agencies, but don't worry, it's not a hostile takeover—it's more of a partnership. From generative art to language models, AI is the new sidekick to over 25 leading creative shops, helping visualize ideas and cutting down on the guesswork.

Tools like Midjourney and DALL·E are helping creatives visualize and iterate on ideas faster than ever. But don’t expect AI to replace human flair – agencies see it as a tool to enhance, not erase, our creative chops.

With AI’s help, agencies can more efficiently explore concepts and communicate with clients before embarking on costly productions. They’re also using AI to help visualizing concepts with tools like Midjourney to deciphering the mood with ChatGPT.

Agencies aren't outsourcing creativity to the cloud (yet). They're using AI as a sidekick, a digital Bob Ross who's just happy to help. It’s all about speeding up the creative conveyor belt without losing the spark of human imagination.

And the legal front? It’s a bit stormy, with copyright clouds looming over AI-generated imagery. The legal cases of The New York Times vs OpenAI and Getty Images vs Stability AI are still going on and could change everything in the AI landscape.

So, while copyright lawsuits simmer in the background, agencies are busy decoding the best ways to blend AI's pixel-pushing powers with the human touch.

Can AI be a creative agency's secret sauce?

Say cheese, but not on your iPhone!

Influencers are ditching Apple’s iconic device for selfie-taking, and their new go-to is an unexpected pick: TikTok.

Yep, the social media platform known for viral dances and short skits also has a snappy camera that, according to selfie connoisseurs, makes you look “softer” and “better” than the iPhone’s lens.

And it’s not just Gen Z creators singing TikTok’s camera praises; some viewers chimed in, admitting they opt for Instagram or Snapchat’s in-app cameras to dodge the “ugly” iPhone clicks. Ouch!

Photographers mostly love the iPhone’s camera and constantly praise it as the best mobile camera. Meanwhile, influencers hate it…I didn’t see that one coming.

  4. Red Bull teams up with Dutch Drone Gods to create a drone that can track F1 cars at full speed. It hits 300 km/h in 4 seconds—twice as fast as an F1 car.

  2. Photoroom reels in $43m to develop its AI photo-editing software to replace product photographers, now used by clients like Warner Bros. and Bulgari.

  3. AFM and Hollywood studios strike a new deal at 3 a.m. after marathon talks. Musicians score residuals for streaming and safeguards against AI.

  4. Finally! The Oscars split animation and shorts into separate branches. Shorts enthusiasts are stoked, but some worry indie animated shorts may lose their shot at the golden statue.
