VISUAL CREATORS
The future of storytelling might just be in your face—literally. Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) are transforming how we experience narratives, and it’s more than just a gimmick.
Picture this: you’re not just watching a movie, you’re stepping into the scene, exploring worlds in 360 degrees.
Meta’s Quest 3 and Apple’s Vision Pro are making immersive tech more accessible, ditching the cables for lightweight headsets. And it’s not just about individual experiences; it’s about turning cinemas into immersive playgrounds and city blocks into art and story hubs.
Outernet’s grand immersive screens are lighting up London, and the competition is looking to replicate the experience worldwide.
Capturing these immersive moments is no longer a high-tech dream, with cameras like Kandao’s Obsidian Pro and GoPro’s Max 2 putting the power of environmental storytelling in your hands.
So, get ready to go beyond the frame and immerse yourself in the next chapter of storytelling; it’s right around the headset.

Major Hollywood studios are still falling short in hiring female and diverse directors, according to a new USC Annenberg study.
Out of the 116 directors associated with the 100 highest-grossing domestic films last year, just 14 were female – a minor increase from 2022’s 9%.
Only four of those 14 were women of color.
Universal Pictures topped the chart, but its 27 female directors since 2006 still represent just 9.2% of its hiring.
Meanwhile, Paramount Pictures brought up the rear with 1.6% female director representation.
