Motorized tripod, anyone?

Edelkrone just dropped the Tripod X, and it’s not your average three-legged buddy.

This bad boy’s ‘fully motorized’ and can level up your camera game faster than you can say ‘cheese.’

No more yoga-like contortions to get the perfect angle; the Tripod X’s got you covered with its height-adjusting smarts and can even handle rough terrain.

It’s not exactly feather-light, but with great power comes a 9-kilo weight, right?

Oh, and it’s only $2.6k. Time to level up your photo game—literally.

Is a motorized tripod worth the splurge?

PRODUCTION MASTERY

The world’s biggest music label, Universal Music Group (home to stars like Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish), is yanking its music off TikTok over a payment dispute.

UMG says TikTok wants to use music “without paying fair value”.

Meanwhile, TikTok says it’s “sad and disappointing” that UMG is being “greedy”.

Late last year, Universal re-upped its licensing deal with TikTok, but the new agreement never materialized.

This isn’t the first time TikTok has hit a sour note with labels: In 2022, it threatened to pull music from Warner, Sony, and UMG during negotiations.

Is Universal right to pull its music off TikTok?

CREATOR ECONOMY

TikTok’s dishing out perks if you go horizontal.

Creators who post long, wide-angle vids – not ads or political stuff – could score a short-term view boost within 72 hours.

The news signals a shift for the app, which started pushing horizontals about a year ago and tested longer content up to 30 mins.

As YouTube looks like more of a career-maker, TikTok’s making creator coin more attainable, launching paid series subscriptions ranging from $1 to $190.

Will TikTok’s horizontal pivot stick?
