AI and photography are cuddling and people are freaking out.
Some robot-loving photographers are letting AI snap shots and it’s making traditional shutterbugs break a sweat. But is it really art if a robot’s doing all the work? That’s the question on everyone’s perfectly framed lips.
Brendan van Son’s latest video is stirring the pot, showing how AI and photographers are more like oil and water.
The lensman-extraordinaire says using AI to tweak pics is one thing, but letting it play Picasso from scratch is a hard no in his playbook.
And he’s not just worried about getting a robo-replacement; it’s also a copyright nightmare.
So, is this where the robots take over? Well, in the darkroom, maybe. But when it comes to capturing the magic of a fleeting moment, the pros are saying ‘Hold the CTRL-ALT-DELETE’.

TOGETHER WITH RECUT
If you make videos or podcasts, you know the toil of trimming tiny pauses on EVERY edit. How many hours could you save if Recut removed the silence for you?
Nick D. says, “I’m incredibly happy with Recut. I haven’t found a software that does a better job. I literally couldn’t produce my videos once per week without it.”
It fits into your editing process as the first step. Recut's cuts are a mere suggestion: you can tweak them, keep some parts, and remove mistakes. Export super fast (and lossless) to your usual editor as a project (or as a video). It works with Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, and ScreenFlow.
From Dave, the creator: “I'm so tired of subscriptions! So I made Recut a one-time purchase with a useful free trial.”

I'm no @MrBeast. I do however consider myself a 'professional' content creator. With some semi viral 17.6 Million impressions here on @X over the last 70 days. With all those impressions, X has paid me about $2 a day to post here. ($187.66… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

In a surprise twist, popular YouTuber JerryRigEverything exposes just how little money he made from X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, despite racking up 17.6 million impressions.
His payout? A meager $187.66, or roughly $2 a day. That's a far cry from MrBeast’s quarter-million-dollar experiment. JerryRigEverything’s revelation adds fuel to the fire of creator discontent with X’s ad revenue model, with many calling it a “facade.”
Youtube sensation MrBeast tested X’s ad revenue a few weeks ago and made a massive $250K in just 6 days. But, as the saying goes, looks can be deceiving.
Why it matters: It’s hard to tell if platforms like Twitter can cut creators the same sized check as YouTube. But regardless, they desperately need A-listers to create exclusive content if they even have a chance to compete.
The backstory: Elon Musk invited MrBeast onto X with, as some are alleging, some special treatment.
Zoom out: Creator platforms need 2 things to sustain long-term: engaged audiences and deep pockets (and the desire to dip into them to pay creators). Just how deep those pockets need to be to win over creators is still unclear.
