VISUAL CREATORS
For your artistic side.
AI and photography: a match made in creative heaven or a threat to the artists behind the lens? The short answer is: neither.
While AI has crept into cameras, it’s more about honing features than hijacking careers. Smartphone snappers have been enjoying AI’s scene-detecting perks for years, and smart editing tools are speeding up tweaks with tricks like content-aware fill (a digital sleight of hand that’s been around since your parents rocked dial-up).
Generative AI, which can dream up imagery on its own, sparks worries of artifice. But without human guidance, it’s just a digital paintbrush with no concept of artistry.
So, as AI lends a hand in the editing room, photographers shouldn’t start fretting over their livelihoods just yet; stay busy framing the world through your own unfiltered lenses and start incorporating some of these new tools into your workflow

The commercial aspects of creativity.
Just as Tyler Perry was planning an $800m studio expansion, OpenAI dropped Sora, an AI that can turn text into video—you can literally write yourself into scenes on the moon or in the mountains.
Tyler Perry’s Atlanta studio expansion is “indefinitely on hold” after the creator was “shocked” by OpenAI’s text-to-video model Sora, which he said can generate film scenes from text “like nothing” he’s ever seen before.
Perry wasn't just impressed; he was “shocked” and worried about “a lot of jobs” in the industry. He’s concerned the technology will impact “every corner” of the industry and called for an all-hands-on-deck approach to regulatory and labor conversations surrounding AI.
“I immediately started thinking of everyone in the industry who would be affected by this, including actors and grip and electric and transportation and sound and editors, and looking at this, I'm thinking this will touch every corner of our industry”.
He's not against the tech, but he’s calling for a united front in Hollywood and Washington to put some safety belts in place, warning that without regulation, the industry might not survive. He has already used AI himself in two unrevealed films to save hours and makeup costs.
His concern isn't groundbreaking; it echoes worries from actors and writers during past strikes.

Is the ad industry's silence on climate change justified?
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 🌍 Not cool, Advertisers!

🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 📉 It's just a marketing trend, anyways
Google Ad’s AI, Gemini, can now create ads on the fly.
It's not a complete takeover, as advertisers will still have some say in the matter, but now they can choose from a wider range of AI-generated options.
Google says ads made with AI have a conversion rate 6% higher than those without.
So, does this mean robots are better at selling us stuff than humans?
Maybe, but for now, they'll have to settle for being our second-string creatives.
